  • Pacbrake departs from distribution-only and develops their own engine brake technology for Cummins and Caterpillar engines
  • Becomes the first company to patent a combination engine brake which utilizes an exhaust valve
  • Pacbrake starts serial production supply for Caterpillar and Volvo
1990-2000
  • Starts engine brake development for Detroit Diesel
  • Becomes the largest North American exhaust brake manufacturer
  • Captures 10% of the engine brake market share
2000-2010
  • Pacbrake expands their R&D and shifts strategy to emission valves
  • Becomes the largest thermal management valve supplier in North America
  • Expands aftermarket product line to include tow/haul solutions (air suspension and onboard air)
2010-PRESENT
  • Pacbrake celebrates 50 years in business
  • Supplys first hot EGR valve to Navistar
  • Develops engine brake for Cummins ISB engine
  • Develops electrically controlled emission valves
